DISCOVER JACARU

We know how difficult it can be to keep abreast of what’s happening out there because at times we all get too busy coping
with the challenges facing our  businesses in the current economy, for some the impact of extreme weather conditions and simply
just looking after our families.

At Jacaru we have decided to produce Discover Jacaru, designed to  keep you up to date with what is happening within the Jacaru organisation, plus details of new products or product changes and to provide any other information that may be of  assistance in improving your business.  So every few months we will bring you up to date with the latest news and gossip and keep the communication lines open.

In the second half of last year, Jacaru relocated its entire factory, sales and administration operations to a new building  some two kilometres from the old site.

The main reasons behind the move were:
• The capacity to grow the business in
   the future.
• Better flow of production through the factory
• Improved productivity and efficiency
• An improved working environment for our employees

 The building was virtually a blank canvas, offering us the opportunity to design the layout of the various operations 
 and the flow of production, in order to maximise the potential of the factory. 
 This move will ensure our ability to meet the growing domestic demand as well as exploring additional                                       opportunities in international markets, including existing clients in the 37 countries Jacaru exported products   to last year.                                         

The move was completed with the assistance of our loyal and dedicated staff and within a week Jacaru was back
in production. The approval of the relocation by the Board of Directors confirms their strong commitment to the long term

NEW  PRODUCTS

Since 1969 Jacaru has been a leader in the development of a popular range of hats and accessories designed to meet the
needs of the Australian community. Jacaru constantly undertakes reviews as to the quality of the leather and other materials we utilise in the production process, to ensure that our products meet the highest Australian standards. 

Through our domestic and international exposure Jacaru is able to design and develop new products which not only compliment the existing range, but offer  our clients additional opportunities to increase sales and profitability.

Jacaru’s new range features styles with wide brims and high tops, such as the Prospect, Buckeroo and Arena. We also introduced a new range of leathers in diverse colours. This new collection also presents the Trilby, in line with the current fashion trends. GENERAL  INFORMATION

Customer Relations Officers
Our Officers are available to assist you in any way, including product information or the
processing of orders and have a depth of knowledge of the product range and enjoy working
with you to design an order to suit your business.

Customer Branding 
Jacaru is able to offer clients a standard Jacaru product including accessories, with a specific brand which can be marketed by the client under their own name or logo, with embroidery and foil printing also available. Ask your  Customer  Relations Officer for details.

Storage / Display Tips 
To avoid damage to your hats, we recommend that any oiled leather products are stored or displayed separately from others as the oil will mark suede, PU or PVC products.

Quality & Warranty
Jacaru prides itself on the quality of its product and as part of the production process maintains an in-house Quality Control Operation. Our Research and Development team continues the search to source the highest quality leather, materials and components for use in the production process.  Jacaru is committed to supporting the quality of its product and under its Warranty Policy, undertakes to replace any item that is damaged due to manufacturing faults.

Returns for Credit 
As mentioned above Jacaru warrants the manufacture of its products and also accepts responsibility for any damage incurred in the delivery of products to clients via our designated freight forwarder.  Clients must notify Jacaru of any claims within 14 days of
the invoice date.
It is also important to understand that shop soiled items and damage due to poor storage practices are not covered under either our Warranty or Returns Policies.

Credit Terms 
Whilst many of our clients settle their accounts on a prepayment basis, others operate under a credit account. These accounts are closely monitored and failure to settle the outstanding balance by the due date can result in delay in the delivery of future orders.

PERSONNEL

In this issue our featured employee is Elaine Harding.

Elaine joined Jacaru in March 2005 and continues to make a major contribution to the success of the company, with
responsibility for our Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll functions.

She enjoys her grown up family and grandchildren, as well as spending time with her husband on their 6.5 metre
cabin cruiser.

So next time you speak to Elaine feel free to trade fishing tales about the big one that got away!

Each month Jacaru offers “Specials” on a range of products that are one-off runs, obsolete stock or items that have been discontinued from the product range. The Specials brochure is normally mailed out with the statements, but if you do not have an
account or prepay, please let us know and we will include you on the Specials mailing list so you don’t miss out.
